As we approach the day to celebrate our moms and our mother-like figures in our lives, I wanted to share an updated Mother’s Day Gift Guide. And if this is a hard holiday for you – I see you. I know it can be a rough day for so many without their moms, trying to be moms, mourning moms – I see you and am sending you all a hug.
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
If this spring you are searching for Mother’s Day gifts for the women in your life who uplift, inspire and make your life better, the following is a collection of gifts that I think make stylish, timeless and thoughtful gift ideas.
I’ve rounded up a few items today I’m liking in hopes you might help you find something a little extra special for all the special mothers in your life. My goal with this gift guide is to go beyond the standard coffee mug, throw blanket or air fryer!
1. Bearaby Weighted Blanket
Weighted blankets help with anxiety and are known to promote better quality sleep as well. When at home I use mine to read under and often sleep under mine as well! I own this one in the 15lb weight and I love that
2. Merit Makeup
Perfect five minute makeup for the mom who loves makeup but doesn’t have a ton of time to devote to it.
3. Trudon Candles
Trudon is a historic candlemaker, having gotten their start by providing candles to the King at the Louvre in Paris! I think this makes these luxurious candles a wonderful gift idea for the mom who appreciates history or is a Francophile. Each candle has a long burn time and comes with a great little enclosure card that gives history around the brand and also the name that the fragrance was inspired by.
For a more affordable candle but one that still feels luxurious and personal, I recommend the Jenni Kayne candles.
4. Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds
Perfect for work from home or travel.
5. Kindle
Perhaps this is the year you convert the hold out mom who hasn’t yet started reading with an e-reader. I swear by my Kindle Paperweight for reading while traveling.
6. Skylight Digital Frame
My sister in law got this for my parents two years ago and it remains the biggest hit! You set up an email associated with the digital frame and anyone with the email can “add” photos to the frame that will scroll through in a slideshow. It’s truly the most unique photo frame ever. We love surprising my parents with new additions to it.
7. Chanel Hand Cream
This hand cream works beautifully and comes in an iconic and luxurious package. Looking for a more affordable and yet still luxurious hand cream? I like the Necessaire Hand Cream as an alternative.
8. Cuyana Leather Travel Set
A longtime favorite gift of mine to give – this duo is perfect for the mom who loves to travel. The pouches are perfect for travel essentials, makeup – you name it.
10. Hydro Flask
An affordable and practical gift for the office, home or travel.
11. Bala Bands
My favorite at-home gym accessory. Also great for walks. A lot of other great fitness equipment available from Bala if your gift recipient already has the bands!
12. Darphin Oil Mask
This luxurious oil mask harnesses essential oils to help enhance skin’s resistance to the visible impact of the environment, daily pressures and lack of sleep. I love the idea of a really gorgeous face mask to help a hard working mom unwind and work in some rest and relaxation. Related: 29 Best French Beauty Products.
13. Material Kitchen Cutting Board
BPA-free and made from recycled materials, these cutting boards are perfect for the mom who enjoys cooking. I have several from this brand and love them. You could add some additional cooking tools from Material to the gift as well to build it out.
14. CurrentBody LED Mask
An LED mask is one of the best beauty rituals you can do to firm skin, fight redness and other signs of aging. It’s a splurge gift but a worthwhile one!
15. Westman Atelier Cream Blush
This looks beautiful on mature skin and is easy to use. Read my whole Westman Atelier Review in case you want to add a nice lip balm or makeup brush to your gift of the blush.
16. An American in Provence
Transport your mom or mom figure to the South of France with this beautiful book that celebrates art, photography and the pursuit of living a life of beauty. I love the gorgeous photos in it but also the heartfelt essays and delicious sounding recipes.
Additional Gift Ideas:
Audible Subscription
I’ve personally gotten into audiobooks in the past couple of years and I love the idea of giving an Audible subscription along with a personalized list of books you’ve enjoyed to a new mom who may be breastfeeding or walking her little one around and want to still feel like they can enjoy books.
French Blooms
This new book by Sandra Sigman, award-winning floral designer and owner of Les Fleurs, is filled with gorgeous floral imagery and tips for the moms or mother in laws who love to garden.
Jenni Kayne Shearling Slippers
These bestselling slippers can be worn two ways and as a proud owner of them, I can attest to them being a true little luxury.
Book of the Month
This three month subscription is such a good gift to look forward to weeks after Mother’s Day has come and gone.
Lake Pajamas Robe
I love this small business for pajama sets but also their crisp, soft and cozy robes which I think make really practical yet thoughtful gifts.
Vuori Joggers
The perfect comfy throw on and go pants for the new mom.
Caudalie Gift Set
Caudalie is my favorite skincare line and their gift sets make really wonderful value gifts for the mommas who love skincare.
